Our Story
Pro Vision Center is a locally owned eyewear store in Maine with three convenient locations in Auburn, South Portland and our newest location in Oxford. (That replaced our South Paris location opening in 1988.)
Since 1988, our knowledgeable opticians have specialized in custom-fit prescription glasses, offering in-house lens crafting and same-day service on many eyewear orders.
Unlike many chain optical shops, we edge lenses in-house, allowing for faster turnaround times and precise adjustments tailored to each individual. We are also an in-network provider for EyeMed and other major insurance plans, making quality eyewear more accessible to our community.
For over 36 years, we’ve proudly served Maine by combining expert craftsmanship with a personal, local touch. Whether you need a unique frame fit, updated lenses in your current frames, or a distinctive new look, we curate every detail with you in mind.
Meet the Owner
“In 1988 I opened my first Pro Vision Center in South Paris, with the mission of providing quality eyewear to local patients in Maine. After 36 years in South Paris, we are excited to continue this journey in our new location in Oxford, Maine. Our second location opened in the Auburn Mall in 1992, which expanded the reach of people we could help. In 2002 we opened our third location at the Maine Mall in South Portland, making our three locally owned eyewear locations.
With the support of our local communities our small business has been successfully thriving for over 38 years, allowing us the privilege to continue to give the gift of sight. It was my dream to provide the finest selections of eyewear and TOP-NOTCH service.
I have been fortunate to have a dedicated staff that has been with me for many, many years. I truly believe what makes all of our Pro Vision Centers unique is our quality eyewear, affordable prices and knowledgeable, friendly staff. While our original location has moved from South Paris to Oxford, our commitment to our patients remains the same.
